Counseling

Provides emotional, behavioral, and mental health support through individualized and family-centered care.

At True Care Therapy Hub, our counseling services are designed to provide individualized support for emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs across the lifespan. Sessions are led by Anu Varghese, Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC), ensuring all interventions follow professional standards and evidence-based practices.

Types of Counseling Sessions

  • Individual Counseling: Personalized one-on-one sessions targeting specific mental health, behavioral, or developmental challenges. Each session focuses on skill-building, coping strategies, emotional regulation, and functional improvement.

  • Group Counseling: Structured sessions with peers to enhance social skills, communication, emotional expression, and problem-solving abilities in a supportive group setting.

  • Family & Couple/Marital Counseling: Sessions aimed at improving family dynamics, communication, conflict resolution, and relationship skills. Caregiver involvement is emphasized to support skill generalization at home.

  • Educational & Career Counseling: Guidance for academic readiness, study skills, goal setting, career exploration, and university application processes (UCAS, Common App, Coalition App, ApplyTexas).

  • Geriatric Counseling: Support for older adults, including aging, memory challenges, dementia, emotional adjustment, and life transitions.

  • Medical Counseling: Assistance for individuals managing chronic illness, treatment adherence, stress, and mental health impacts related to medical conditions.

Therapeutic Approaches

Our sessions integrate a range of evidence-based therapies, including:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): Identifying and changing unhelpful thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT): Enhancing emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness.

  • Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA): Behavior modification techniques for skill acquisition and challenging behavior reduction.

  • Exposure & Response Prevention (ERP): Systematic exposure to reduce anxiety and compulsive behaviors.

  • Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET): Increasing intrinsic motivation for behavior change.

  • Behavior Therapy for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD): Supporting functional, social, and adaptive skill development.
