Speech Therapy
Addresses learning challenges by strengthening cognitive skills, academic performance, and learning strategies.
At True Care Therapy Hub, our Speech and Language Department is committed to empowering clients through communication. Led by Vijitha Raj T, Registered Speech-Language Pathologist (RSLP), our speech and language programs focus on empowering clients to communicate confidently.
We collaborate with children, adolescents, and adults to enhance speech, language, communication, and social skills, fostering confidence and independence in daily life.
Core Therapy Programs
1. Oral Placement Therapy (OPT) OPT enhances oral motor skills for speech and feeding through tactile and proprioceptive input. This structured approach supports clarity of speech, oral coordination, and feeding skills for clients with conditions such as childhood apraxia of speech, dysarthria, and expressive language delays. OPT helps clients of all ages develop the motor skills needed for effective communication.
2. PROMPT Therapy PROMPT (Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets) guides oral structures using clinician-assisted movements to improve speech motor planning and production. This method targets oral-motor coordination, sequencing, and articulation through engaging, socially and emotionally supportive activities, enhancing speech clarity and communication confidence.
3. Articulation and Phonological Therapy We address speech sound disorders, including articulation and phonological challenges, to improve intelligibility and communication effectiveness. Therapy is tailored to each client and incorporates interactive technology, biofeedback, motor speech training, metaphon techniques, minimal pair therapy, and neuroplasticity-based exercises.
4. Fluency Therapy Fluency therapy supports individuals who experience stuttering, cluttering, or other disruptions in speech flow. Individualized programs target fluency improvement through stuttering modification, fluency shaping, delayed auditory feedback, and real-life communication practice, with an emphasis on building confidence and functional communication.
5. Group Therapy Services Our group therapy programs provide a socially enriched environment to practice language, social communication, and pragmatic skills. Programs include:
Buddy Pair System: Small peer pairs with similar goals for guided practice, turn-taking, and peer modeling.
Language Booster Clubs: Themed group sessions for receptive and expressive language development, vocabulary building, role-play, and interactive games.
6. Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) For clients with complex communication needs, we provide personalized AAC solutions to help express themselves effectively. Our clinic integrates the latest technology and innovative AAC tools to maximize communication outcomes.
